i think united Kingdom will achieve second place on golds but it will be third place if we use the USA counting system. tighter Drug testing in the Uk so will be hard for most American Athletes to get away with it. Russia always has steroids when they come up against a lapsed testing system the do well. but like in china they just about come through. America needs to bring through more of their Chinese and Japanese Americans its a genetic thing. if they drop some of the steroid abusing athletes they may do better. does Brian Clay have oriental blood? looks like he does. replace 2/3rds of your white and black athletes with the more superior Asian and you will be champions. vote for obama.

I say that is realistic. I can't say why people are saying Britain don't stand a chance.

By the way, who chooses the events because if it was up to the host nation, the BOA could choose about 40 Cycling events...obviously that's not right, but if so GB would do brilliantly.

Why only aim for 3rd place? Why not 1st place. If they take after the chinese mentality, they will most definitely have a chance to be on top.

it would help if there were even the same amount of cycling events as there are in the world championships. Its absurd that while fishman phelps won 8 golds, victoria pendleton only had 1 event to compete in.
