Great Britain’s Team Aqua led by Chris Bake wins 2nd RC44 Championship Tour at Rovinj, Croatia
Another successful journey of Team Aqua ended at Rovinj, Croatia, where the hard work of skipper, Chris Bake and his crew finally paid off with a splendid 2011 Adris RC44 Cup win. With the exceptional victory at Rovinj, Team Aqua has won the RC44 Championship
Tour title for the second time in their career.
The British team won the first RC44 Championship Tour title previously in 2007. In the current season, Team Aqua performed astoundingly well to prove their class in the sport. In the first two events of the tour, the British RC44 catamaran finished third
and second respectively, but after that they won the next three events convincingly.
The overall standings of the 2011 RC44 Championship Tour are given below:

8. Aleph Sailing Team (FRA17) 13, 5, (15), 5, 4 = 27 points
9. Peninsula Petroleum Sailing Team (GBR 1) (10), 7, 9, 7, 10 = 33 points
10. Ironbound (USA 1) 7, 8, (15), 9, 12 = 36 points
This championship tour victory is the second win for Team Aqua. They secured the title for the first time in 2007 under Chris Bake’s leadership. This time too, skipper, Bake along with crew members put up a wonderful show and the squad is happy at their
team’s success at Rovinj in the 2011 Adris RC44 Cup, which is the penultimate event of the championship tour.
