in chpt 37, why is Pip visiting Wemmick. what is his buisiness with him? i don't get it. and is he like hiding something from Herbert. if so, what? b/ he sayz "the whole business was to cleverly managed that herbert had not the least suspicion of my hand being in it." help please?

  1. If I recall correctly, Pip has arranged for Herbert to be hired into a business house, thus ensuring his friends future success. Pip, with the assistance of Wemmick manages this secretly, and does not ever want Herbert to know that he has been responsible for his good luck.
