  1. Check with your DJ - he/she should have a ton of common songs to get the party jumping.  You can also search for songs on www.weddingchannel.com - they even have samples of most songs.

  2. YMCA is always a big hit at weddings. A lot depends on your crowd; 70s and 80s music usually goes well with everyone.

  3. I ain't got you..

Good song to dance..if you need to check out more songs..

    can try this site.. http://www.365weddingsongs.com

  4. anything 80's disco.!

  5. The Cha-Cha Slide was the hit at our reception (Sliiiide to the left, sliiiiide to the right, take it back now y'all!...hahaha!)

Here's what I regret though....the DJ and I talked two days prior to the reception about the playlist.  He ignored it at the reception and refused to take requests from guests saying, "The bride has strict orders for me"...which I certainly did not! I specifically told him to cater to the guests should they request any songs.  I was furious with him, secretly because I didn't want to be anything but happy at my reception.  I just rolled with it and really regretted not making a CD for the DJ prior to the wedding to play during the night.  I really thought this guy would come through and he seemed like a nice, down to earth guy on the phone.  He was just upset that the table wasn't enormous enough to fit all his ten CD booklets on even though the reception venue gave him more space than what they usually give a DJ (our venue was at a historic museum/inn).  So.....just a piece of advice....if you're really wanting specific music played (or not played!), burn a CD of about 10-15 songs for your DJ to play from in addition to his CDs that he brings.  This way, you will be sure to be 100% happy!
