Great Vegas Package for 2009 New Years Eve, ringing in 2010?

Is it too early to find a package deal for this, or do I need to wait till next summer? Some friends and I are planning to go.

It could be a bit early, and you would not get a really good rate if you did book now.  You can take a look at all the hotel room rates for Las Vegas at BestOfVegas http://www.bestofvegas.com/hotels/

It's a little too early to book your trip just yet. I know how you feel, though, wanting to get a great deal and being excited about your trip. It doesn't hurt to surf some web sites now and see if you can find a few deals, but your options at this point will be limited.

Wait at least until January 2009 to get a good deal, and only consider booking then if you absolutely know when and where you want to stay. If you are unsure about the where/when of your trip, start looking in January but continue to watch prices to see if they go up/down. Then book when you feel like you're getting a good deal based on the research you've done and the prices you've seen up to that point.

Also, check the airline sites for a good package deal. Sometimes, although not lately, they have good prices on Vegas vacations.
