Great Week in Boxing, Which double header you choosing?

As you all know a great week in boxing.

On saturday two good cards at 9pm (et)

` showtime has Lightt heavyweight champions

Chad Dawson(WBC) vs. Glen johnson

` Clinton woods(IBF) vs. Antonio Tarver

` Same night on Hbo's card 10PM(et) will be Welter weight champions

Antonio Margarito vs. Kermit Cintron(IBF)

Alfonso Gomez vs. Miguel Cotto(WBA )

Which one will you watch live?

Which one will you Tivo?

Also what are your picks and predictions?

Boxing's resurgence continues!



I have 2 t.v.'s so like a crack fiend im gonna get my fix Saturday. lol.  H.B.O. on 1 and Showtime on the other.

I like Dawson over Johnson and Woods over Tarver

I like Cintron over Margarito and Cotto over Gomez

A lot of good fighters this weekend and another great boost for boxing. 08' has been great and its only getting better!

I am going to watch HBO but Showtime has a great fight also. My picks are Margarito, Cotto, Dawson, and Tarver. Look for the winners of each bout to get down in the future.

im gonna watch HBO and tivo SHOWTIME. tarver and the rest of the fighters in that division dont really interest me as much as the more talented welterweights.

as for my predictions i think cotto will win by late stoppage or decision and margarito will win by late TKO. I think cintron will fight alot better then the first time though.

i dont really care about hte fights on showtime

I dont have showtime but i definitely have HBO so i will see the Cotto-Gomez and Cintron-Margarito. I say Cotto KOs gomez in round 7. Cintron wins a decision.

I wont be able to watch any, i'll be at a wedding in Sacra-freakin-mento, lucky for me i have a DVR and i will be recording both fights while i'm gone, so for arguments sake, lets say i didnt have to attend the wedding and i got to stay home i'd choose to watch the Cotto-Gomez fight, i think there will probably just a little more action on the HBO fights simply cause they are from a lighter weight class, yeah i know it's a dumb reason but i really havent been impressed with anyone above the Middleweight class, with the exception of Calzaghe, i cant think of anyone above the Middleweights that i'd enjoy watching, thats just my personal opinion. My predictions on the fight are like this:

Miguel Cotto - 6th rd. KO

Antonio Margarito - Decision

Glen Johnson - Decision

Clinton Woods - Decision

To be honest, I can't pick just one fightcard. I have both Showtime and HBO, so I will be flipping back and forth, like some insane fight fan.

Anyway, I think Cotto will beat Gomez fairly easily.

I think Margarito will win again against Cintron, BUT I wouldn't be surprise if Cintron gets his revenge. Out of the four fights, Cintron-Margarito is my toughest to predict.

Continuing, I think youth will prevail for Dawson. Johnson will give him a 12 round tough fight, but Dawson will get the decision win.

I really hate Tarver, but I have an awful feeling that he'll get a decision win in a somewhat boring fight.

I'll watch the HBO card and Tivo the Showtime card.

I haven't seen Cintron and only saw Margarito fight Clottey after a 10-month layoff, so I'll just watch them.  It should be a good fight, but with margarito's busy style he's getting a little old.

I think Cotto will defeat Gomez by a mid-round KO.  If he can beat Gomez decisively and do the same to Mayorga, he should be in able to give Mayweather a better payday than he could today.

I think Dawson will win a decision over Johnson.  I am guessing here, but Woods is old and Tarver is even older, so I'll pick the "young" guy by knockout inside 10 rounds.  Tarver looked terrible against Jones and Hopkins when I saw him last and I think he's spent.  I may be biased because I don't like him.  "What's your excuse this time, Roy?" was a low class comment.
