  1. look into seagull brand guitars (made by the canadian luthiers SIMON & PATRICK). they are affordable high quality guitars.

    btw; learn on a 6 string-not a 12

  2. I recommend a nylon stringed Takamine classical acoustic/electric guitar if you want classical music or soft jazz.

a Takamine steel string A/E if you like country, soft rock, alternative and some jazz.

if these are too much go with a Yamaha nylon or steel string. Stay with a 6 string.

  3. Well, welcome back to playing guitar =]

I would suggest a Yamaha acoustic guitar. They are sweet looking guitars and are relatively inexpensive. My personal reccomendation would be getting the Yamaha Gigmaker Deluxe Pack. It has good reviews online and it comes with everything you need to get you started again. It only like $200 so it is a good investment. Good luck on choosing.

P.S. 6 string guitars are easier to play chords and pick single notes on. 12 string guitars are like six strings except that some strings are an octave higher than the regular pitch, or others are drone strings... hard to explain. Stick with 6 strings for right now.

  4. takamine.

i asked a few questions about that and people said it was good.

im starting to learn the guitar too.

  5. 6 String high action Oscar Smith. Learn on high action. When you get a low action guitar your gonna whip all over the place and play really fast, really well.

    Good luck!!
