    nd A Child Called It

[this is a true story about child abuse]

    i loved em =]

  2. Clan of the Cavebear was one of the best series I've ever read. I started with the first one, Clan of the Cavebear when I was 16. I also really enjoyed the hichhiker's guide series when I was 19 and The Bean Trees was an awesome read at that age, too.

    Have fun : )

  3. Stop immediately reading that kind of "literature", and grab some Nietzsche, Freud, Poe, Lovecraft, Breton, Kafka, Wilde, Blake. Best of luck.

  4. "The Five People you Meet in Heaven" is the book i would recommend to you! Thus far i've heard only good reviews, and i'd like to read it soon.

However, Jane Austen's novels are my personal favorites. Pride and prejudice falls excellently under romance. Sense and sensibility on the other hand portrays a more realistic approach to marriage, (i wouldn't categorize it under fantasy) it's also a more difficult read- but one you might still enjoy. Good luck!

  5. Kira Kira is a good book !! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kira-Kira

  6. Ally Carter is a great author

  7. lord of the ring is great, people say they are for boys but i really enjoy them, Alice in wonderland is super cute, charlie and the chocolate factory is fab (even though it's for kids), but the best book i've ever read is russell brand's "my booky wook", it brilliant, so funny.

  19. Here are some of my favorite books that I couldn't put down. I would highly recommend all of them. I've listed them in order of interest level (in my opinion).

Mara, Daughter of the Nile by Elois Jarvis McGraw

It takes a few pages to get into this story, but then you won't be able to put it down. This book follows the adventures of an Egyptian slave girl who becomes a spy for two people--for the man she has come to love and for this man's greatest enemey. Mara, Daughter of the Nile is a combination spy thriller, historical fiction, and romance novel.

The Shadow of the Bear by Regina Doman

This book isn't very well known, so it might be hard to find, but if you can find it, it is *well* worth it. It's a modernized re-telling of the fairy tale--"Snow White and Rose Red." This book is an enchanting love story with a pulse-pounding storyline and likeable characters. Another one you can't put down!

    Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

From Amazon.com: "Redeeming Love opens with the Gold Rush of 1850 and its rough-and-tumble atmosphere of greed and desire. Angel, who was sold into prostitution as a child, has learned to distrust all men, who see her only as a way to satisfy their lust. When the virtuous and spiritual-minded Michael Hosea is told by God to marry this 'soiled dove,' he obeys, despite his misgivings. As Angel learns to love him, she begins to hope again but is soon overwhelmed by fear and returns to her old life. Rivers shines in her ability to weave together spiritual themes and sexual tension in a well-told story, a talent that has propelled her into the spotlight as one of the most popular novelists in the genre of Christian fiction."

The Ishbane Conspiracy by Randy, Angela, and Karina Alcorn

From amazon.com: "Jillian is picture-perfect on the outside, but terrified of getting hurt on the inside. Brittany is a tough girl who trusts almost no one. Ian is a successful athlete who dabbles in the occult. And Rob is a former gang-banger who struggles with guilt, pain, and a newfound faith in God. These four college students will face the ultimate battle between good and evil in a single year. As spiritual warfare rages around them, a dramatic demonic correspondence takes place. Readers can eavesdrop on the enemy, and learn to stave off their own defeat, by reading The Ishbane Conspiracy."

    Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Again, from amazon.com: "Having grown up an orphan in the home of her cruel aunt and at a harsh charity school, Jane Eyre becomes an independent and spirited survivor—qualities that serve her well as governess at Thornfield Hall. But when she finds love with her sardonic employer, Rochester, the discovery of his terrible secret forces her to make a choice. Should she stay with him whatever the consequences or follow her convictions, even if it means leaving her beloved?"
