Great childrens vacations?

I live in Louisville, KY. My husband and I love to travel, but since the birth of our daughter we aren't sure where some appropriate destinations would be. Any suggestions regarding some kid friendly travel options besides Disney?

  1. don't know how far you want to travel or how old your child is now.

Here in Pennsylvania, we have in Philadelphia:

    Sesame Place

    Philadelphia Zoo,

    Please Touch Museum

Six Flags (actually in NJ-more for older kids and adults),

the aquarium (short drive to Delaware),

tons of places to eat and stay.

2  hours drive, we also have HERSHEY PARK and

Knoebels is a great amusement park (admission is free) and great for children.  We love Knoebels.

From Philadelphia, most people go to Atlantic City too but I don't think it's kid friendly.

One hour away is the Crayola Factory.  We've spent a whole day there. There is just too much to do!

  2. Boracay is a good place to spend a family vacation. There are lot of places there to be visited like caves and small islands. There are also water activities like banana rides, kayak and kiteboarding. Restaurant is there where ever you go. There are lot more things to do when you are in Boracay.
