  1. you can make puppy chow-its like a chocolatey chex mix  thing, you can find the recipe on line. oh and how bout triscuts with different kinds of cheeses on them. 7 layer dip. stuff goat cheese in cherry tomatoes. fruit kabobs with fruit cram cheese dip. veggie kabobs with dressing as a dip.

  2. Cheese and cabana,

  3. Simple, fast & cheap,

    Jatz or water crackers

gherkin, cocktail onion, ham (folded up and poked onto toothpicks) cube cheese, Celery, carrot, and capsicum strips. Anything really ( I have used beans & snow peas).

If it's for a sit down - something like a prawn cocktail - Lettuce, lemon wedge 5-6 prawns each, thousand island dressing. Done. Make ahead, a serve when ready.

    Good Luck

  4. chex mix is good.those mother's animal crackers that are pink and white are good too.

  5. Ham Roll Ups - Take slices of ham and spread with softened cream cheese. Place a whole dill pickle (not too big) on each slice and roll up like a burrito. Cut into slices and serve with toothpicks.

Jellied Cream Cheese - Place a block of cream cheese on a small serving platter. Cover the top of the cream cheese with green, jalapeno pepper jelly or any flavor of jam or jelly that you prefer. Serve with crackers.

  6. ground beef, salsa, and velvetta. together make a very tasty & easy form of queso dip.

  7. let people make their own little pizzas.  you can use either english muffins cut in half, or pita bread.  leave out a tray with assorted toppings like; pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, chopped chicken, pineapple, ham, sliced red onions, bell peppers, and anything else you can think of. you can use cheap, basic store brand spaghetti sauce or alfredo sauce.  have them put them in the toaster oven, or your regular oven.  it's an easy, crowd pleasing snack, that they can prepare to their own liking.  it's pretty inexpensive.

you can also leave out little dishes with a good quality olive oil, with some balsamic vinegar and finely minced garlic all mixed together out.  take a baguette ( cost you about a dollar fifty) and cut it into thin slices for dipping.  equally delicious, inexpensive and easy.

guacamole and chips is always fun.

mix sour cream with a good helping of sugar, and a couple of drops of vanilla extract, whisk until the sugar is thoroughly blended in, and it's to your desired sweetness.  put it in the fridge for a while and use it as a dip for fresh strawberries.  it's delish!

  8. Include about three or four different cheeses such as one soft cheese, one hard cheese and one blue-veined cheese.

Choose from brie, Camembert, cheddar, provolone, gouda, Gruyere, gorgonzola and blue cheese. Be sure to also offer bread and/or crackers as well as a plate of sliced fresh fruit.

  9. Spinach dip is always a winner.  Use the recipe on the box of Knorr vegetable soup, and put it into a hollowed-out sourdough bread.  Replace the top; cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.  Serve with sliced baguettes or water crackers....or ....

    CON QUESO DIP

    8 oz. shredded cheese

2 cans Rotel tomatoes (I use 1 spicy, 1 mild) with juice
