i know alot of great tv shows go don't get watched enough and i find them after theyve been cancelled and am so sad/angry because i can never see new episodes. the only upside is that i can watch them on dvd and don't have to wait a week for a new episode.

the wire is something i discovered way too late, arrested development also...that got cancelled before its time for sure.i still don't understand why that got cancelled after only 3 seasons. it deserved more.

i'm looking into getting OZ & Rome i've heard great things about them.

honorable mention is scrubs: i dont know many other people who watch it, and although the quality has gone down throughout the seasons i still love the show and recommend it. it was great until sometime in season 5 to season 6.

anyways..my question is what are some cult faves or shows that don't get watched enough that you think are amazing? could be cancelled or on air. i'm talking about quality shows, any genre.

  1. Firefly was canceled only after 11 episodes. The reason: FOX was stupid and aired them out of order.

This is a conspiracy against Joss Whedon.

  2. The ones we discovered this past year are Chuck and Big Bang Theory. Both are amazing. Both are coming back in the fall; Big Bang Theory is being shown as reruns now.

  3. spongebob

  4. Firefly - cancelled ='( It's a sci-fi western, and it's the prime example of both a prematurely cancelled TV show and a cult favorite.

Primeval - airs on BBC America.

Torchwood - either Sci-Fi channel or BBC America. Unfortunately, sci-fi channel edits it both for time and content =(

Angel - a spin-off of Buffy, it was slightly less popular, but far better IMO.

Doctor Who - since this is America, it's underwatched. And, the darn sci-fi channel edits it so they can fit in more commercials. Boo!

Twin Peaks - cancelled back in, oh, 1990? It's got a murder mystery, owls, lots of trippy stuff... and David Duchovny as a cross-dressing FBI agent investigating the weird stuff that's been happening around (yes, this was before the X-Files, LOL).
