Great white shark and Megoladon

Do u think its possible for a Great White Shark could be the baby of a Megalodon? Please i would really like to know everyones answer to this question.

  1. no, scientists think that the great white is the descendant of Meg though.

    because of Megalodons size we would have seen it by now. great whites only reach about 19 to around 25 feet long and eats primarily seals. Meg is gargantuan and is said to have eaten whales. also they aren't deep water sharks. they lived relatively close to the shore. so them hiding in the crushing depths all this time wouldn't work, not only because they have to eat so much to sustain themselves. they died out long ago. and because the only remains a dead shark leaves behind are teeth (megs are about the size of a grown mans hand if not longer) there really isn't much to study them by.


  2. If megoladon still existed we would likely be aware of it, since it's such a large, predatory marine animal. Yes, there are other life forms we thought extinct that actually are not, but those species are small, whereas megoladon is ... enormous. People have been on the ocean for ages. We'd have heard about it before now. Even if we didn't see something directly, we would find the remains of whales and such that fell prey to it.

    Besides, if you're seeing the babies, you should also be able to see the mature adults.
