  1. Uncle Remus has a great answer. Bravo!

I will just add two verses on wisdom.

"The fear (or reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

Wisdom begins when we revere or worship the Lord. Understanding is given to us when we know the Holy One through the Word. Who is the Holy One? None but Jesus. :)

"It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (1 Corinthians 1:30)

Who is our wisdom? Jesus Christ Himself, who is the wisdom of God personified. It is of God's doing that Christ has become our wisdom, righteousness, holiness and redemption. Hallelujah!

  2. David wrote this in Psalms 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

The source of all wisdom is God.

And he had a son who when he was younger and started out as king of Israel he asked the God of wisdom to give him some that he might rule the great people of David's kingdom.  This is recorded in 1 Kings 3:5-15

5 At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you."

6 Solomon answered, "You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.

7 "Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. 8 Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. 9 So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?"

10 The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So God said to him, "Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, 12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both riches and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. 14 And if you walk in my ways and obey my statutes and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life." 15 Then Solomon awoke—and he realized it had been a dream.

Even Daniel who was partial ruler in two kingdoms had the wisdom of the gods.

But Jesus Christ himself is the greatest example for believers.

At the age of 12 in the temple Jesus showed much wisdom with his answers in Luke 2:45-47  45And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.  46And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.  47And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

In his ministry how many times his enemies could not even answer his words of wisdom.  I'm sorry that I do not cite them here.

Jesus told his disciples that they were not to think about what to say but that God's Holy Spirit would teach them what to say.  For even Jesus never spoke or did the miracles he did but that it was God's will or wisdom to do so.  And later on after Jesus left in the book of Acts 4:13 the boldness of Peter and the disciples was described this way. .

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

So if you want true wisdom the best way is to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  For true wisdom comes from God alone.

    Take care and God bless.

  5. With God!

    Wisdom comes from God.

The proverbs (which is God's inspired word to man) teaches us much wisdom and insight. We are to pray for such - ask God to give it to us.

  6. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

  7. Rom. 10: 9, 10

  8. Study primarily the 4 Gospels.

  9. We obtain it through faith-believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins, believing the Word of God. Faith comes through hearing the Word of God. Read the bible. It's amazing what you come to realize once you start reading. It's the truth. But yes, the Word says that no man can come to the Father (God) except through Jesus Christ.
