Greatest 3 in Women's Tennis

Many women tennis players have contributed tremendously to bring the game of tennis to prominence. But legends like Steffi Graf, Billy Jean King and Martina Navratilova are second to none in their efforts to promote the game. Bettor.com takes a look at the ever green names in women tennis.
1. Steffi Graf
For a variety of achievements, Graf is probably the greatest all time female tennis player in the history of the game. In spite of the fact that Margaret Court captured two more major titles than Graf, yet she is ranked as the number one in our list, particularly because of her exceptional style of play. Due to Graf’s range along with her powerful shots all around the court ranks her as the best.
Steffi captured the Golden major by winning all four Grand Slam tournaments coupled with the Olympics back in 1988. She remains the only tennis player in the world from both men as well as the women’s side to have accomplished this feat.
Moreover, Graf has given a lot to the game. The Steffi Graf Youth Center of Tennis was established back in 1991. She is the founder and head of the Kids for Tomorrow, an institution dedicated to support kids disturbed by wars and other disasters.
As far as her statistics are concerned, Graf captured the United States Open title on five occasions in her career, and thus registered her name in the pages of history as one of the very few to do so. When we look at today’s women tennis players, we could see Steffi as a United States Open standard for women players across the globe.
2. Billy Jean King
Probably the most influential woman in tennis to have graced planet Earth, Billy Jean King rose to tennis greatness. King played a huge role in getting equal prize money for women in tennis tournaments. In the Battle of the Sexes, she knocked down Bobby Riggs comfortably after Margret Court's defeat.
She managed to concentrate both on supporting women very strongly and simultaneously remained at the top of the game of tennis for a couple of years.  King led a highly active social life in a bid to support civil rights campaigns.
King captured the United States Open title on four occasions in her career. As a result of her contributions, the USTA Center of Tennis has been named as the USTA Billy Jean King National Centre of Tennis.
3. Martina Navratilova
For great stamina and broad accomplishments, Martina Navratilova is truly one of the greatest female tennis players in all times. If any sportsman has ever managed to handle the pressures of homosexuality at such a stage when disclosure of this fact could ruin her entire professional life, it is Martina Navratilova.
Dubbed as the champion of the "boxed set" of Career Grand Slam wins along with Margaret, Navratilova turned out to be stronger in terms of mental strength than the rest. Her physical power on the court was simply matchless beyond any measure.
