  1. 1, Archie Moore

    2, Ezzard Charles

    3, Bob Foster

    4, Michael Spinks

    5, Roy Jones Jr

  2. the real deal holyfield, victor galindes, virl hill n michea

    spinks

  3. 1. Ezzard Charles. He defeated Archie Moore 3 times, once by KO, before moving up to heavyweight.

    2. Roy Jones Jr. Not quite as good at light heavy as at middleweight. I think Ezard Charles might just have been too much for him. We're talking pre Tarver here.

    3. Archie Moore. A legend but lost to Charles and would (in my opinion) have lost to Jones.

    4. Bob Foster. Best of the rest.

  4. I'd also have to go with Archie Moore but Ezzard Charles is a close second.

  5. archie moore, won the title at age 39 and kept it for almost 10 years, twice fighting for the heavyweight crown in between.

charles, tunney, foster, spinks, jones jr, hill & fitz simmons are all time greats as well.

  6. Evander Holyfield.

  7. Jones was the WBC, WBO, WBA, WBF, IBO, NABO, IBC and IBF Light heavyweight Champion, and he is also noted for holding the WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO, WBF, and IBA light heavyweight championships at the same time. Jones was the best boxer in the 1990's and He was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 1990s by the Boxing Writers Association of America. He is often regarded as being one of the best pound for pound fighters of all time. One of those pounds class is the Light heavyweight division. No one was better than Jones and he proved it by defeating guys like Tarver, Johnson,Valle, and Griffin. He's record was an incredible 41-1 before the 21st century. This guy was the Best Light heavyweight w/o a doubt.

  8. Gene Tunney, and Ezzard Charles were both heavyweight champs and great fighters as light heavyweights as well but never won the light heavy title. Bob Fitzsimmons was a middle, light heavy and heavyweight champ during his career.  My opinion is that Archie Moore was the greatest light heavyweight of all time because he was champion almost 10 years compiling a great record of 194-26-8 with a record 145 kayo's in his great career.  I'm not saying he was beter than Gene Tunney or Ezzard Charles but he accomplished a lot more at this weight, thus the reason for his being the best at this weight.

  9. Ezzard Charles

    Roy Jones Jr

    Archie Moore

    Gene Tunney

Michael Spinks and Bob Foster (tie)

Jones could decision Charles, esp after the Bouardi fight (Charles was never the same after Bouardi died after Charles KO'd him).  Before, Charles might force Jones into a war and out hussle him.

Gene Tunney might catch a Bob Foster right and go to sleep.  Im betting he could tip-toe around him and take a decision.

Jones would be a step ahead of Spinks all evening.  Moore is rugged but might be a step behind Jones.  As great as he was Charles proved better.

  10. Ezzard Charles.  His boxing ability was great.  Changed his style after the death of a fighter in the ring and Charles was still great.    Beat the guy alot of people say is the greatest light heavyweight, Archie Moore, several times.
