  1. Duran! 71 - 1 as a lightweight and only loss came when he had the flu!

  2. Roberto Duran.  Tough as nails, boxing ability, chin, and power.  The total package.

  3. Number one and number two are as follows in my opinion:

    Roberto Duran

    Alexis Arguello

  4. roberto duran, estaban de jesus, edwin virut. n many more

  5. Hands of Stone

  6. I have absoulutely no doubt that "Hands of Stone" Roberto Duran was the greatest lightweight of all time.  His career record is 103-16-0 with 70 kayo's and he holds titles in 4 different weight classes, but as a lightweight he lost only once in his first 62 fights up to his last title defense with a record of 61-1-0 with 51 kayo's and 12 sucessfull title defenses.

  7. Roberto Duran.

  8. 1, Roberto Duran

    2, Benny Leonard

    3, Joe Gans

    4, Carlos Ortiz

    5, Pernell Whittaker

  9. Duran gets the top spot at 135.  Overall, he's the best, though he might lose a close decision to Pernell Whittaker.

Benny Leonard is second.  Henry Armstrong, Julio Caesar Chavez and Joe Gans are ranked high.  Floyd Mayweather deserves mention as well.

  10. i'm not gonna argue with anyone who chose duran, but for me, benny leonard is no.1 at 135 pounds.....one of the finest pure boxers ever!!!

  11. Roberto Duran was close to invincible at 135lbs, clearly and without a doubt the best lightweight of all time.

  12. JC CHAVEZ
