Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest welterweight of all time in my opinion.  He compiled an overall record of 175-19-6 with 108 kayo's and was also a multi times middleweight champion as well as welterweight champion.  His record for his first 131 fights was 128-1-2 with 84 kayo's and is widely regarded as the pound for pound greatest fighter in boxing history.

  10. Perfect list Frank D.  Im inclined to put Hearns ahead of Griffith, however,  Im forced to admit that Emile could have weathered the storm and made it past Hearn's missiles to get inside and force Hearns into a war.

    Robinson, Armstrong, Leonard, Hearns, Griffith.

  11. Best current Welterweight of all time the one and only Floyd Mayweather JR. When we talk about all time were talking about Rat Robinson. He was the best pound for pound of his era and he's record was incredinle. By 1946, Robinson had fought 75 fights to a 73–1–1 record, and beaten every top contender in the welterweight division. Anyone better than him you gotta see it to belive it.

  12. Sugar Ray Robinson

  13. Sugar Ray Robinson was a BEAST at welterweight! Ray Leonard would be a distant second.
