Of the current batch: McCaw is the greatest openside of all time. Jerry Collins perhaps the most robust loosie in the modern era, Carter the most naturally gifted and Hayman (although often unsung) is the best tighthead world rugby has ever seen.

Sean Fitzpatrick, Zinzan Brooke, Andrew Merthens, Grant Fox and the great Christian Cullen all deserve special mention...and of course the freak that was rugby for so many years Jonah Lomu
