  1. 1. Barry Bonds

    2. Willie Mays

    3. Alex Rodriguez

    4. Junior

EDIT-Haha did I really get 2 thumbs down for saying Bonds? Is it just because of steroids? I didn't see Mcguire or Sosa get walked 120 times a year...INTENTIONALLY! Oh yea and did they carry around 10 Gold Gloves? Yea didn't think so.

  2. Albert Pujols.  No one, I mean NO ONE did what he did for the first six years of their career.

  3. 1. Hank Aaron (Barry Bonds took steroids)

    2. Willie Mays

    6. Pete Rose

    5. Ken Griffey Jr.

  4. Aaron

    Mays

    A-Rod

    Griffey

  5. 1. [Hank Aaron]

    8. Barry Bonds

    2. [Willie Mays]

    7 Johnny Bench

    3.[ Alex Rodriguez]

    6. Pete Rose

    4. [Stan Musial]

    5. Ken Griffey Jr

Edit: People, it was meant to be a "Greatest Athlete ALIVE" Survey...Probably PS08 forgot to put ALIVE in it but Babe or Lou or Ted have all passed on. Just wanted to throw that out there

  6. Aaron over Bonds

    Mays over Bench

    Arod over Rose

    Musial over Griffey Jr.

  7. Your Hi-lighted question is singular.

    Therefore, my answer is singular.

You asked for the "GREATEST" living baseball player.

The greatest, still alive ballplayer of all time is, "The say-hey kid"

    WILLIE MAYS.

He is also the second greatest ball player of all time! Living or dead.

Babe Ruth stands alone as the greatest ever.

  8. hank

    mays

    rose

    musial

  9. Hank Aaron over Barry Bonds

    Willie Mays over Johnny Bench

    Pete Rose over Alex Rodriguez

Ken Griffey Jr. over Stan Musial. RR

  10. 1. Hank Aaron (Aaron)

    8. Barry Bonds

    2. Willie Mays (Mays)

    7 Johnny Bench

    3. Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod)

    6. Pete Rose

    4. Stan Musial (Musial)

    5. Ken Griffey Jr.

  11. Alright 1st person your an idiot considering that well um...Ruth and Williams are dead.  But I do believe that people such as Frank Robinson and a pitcher (Koufax, Steve Carlton, a modern pitcher) should have been included. But for you purposes,

    8) Bonds

People will disagree, but I will say Bonds, because as an all around player prior to his juicing, he was better than Aaron and was arguably the best ever, albeit under noticed.

    2) Mays

The best living baseball player, no question, no argument, hands down

    3) Alex Rodriguez

A-Rod is better overall, but could you imagine how good A-Rod would be with Pete Rose's competitiveness omg.

    4) Stan Musial

Most underrated player ever, and it is a travesty for him to be ranked 4

  12. 8. Barry Bonds

    2. Willie Mays

    6. Pete Rose

    5. Ken Griffey Jr.

  13. Two are easy, too are tough.

    1. Hank Aaron over 8. Barry Bonds

(only 'cause he did it legally)

    2. Willie Mays over 7 Johnny Bench

(Bench was good but we're talking about Willie Mays here)

    3. Alex Rodriguez over 6. Pete Rose

    (no contest)

    4. Stan Musial over 5. Ken Griffey Jr

(Griffey's peak was better but overall body of work goes to Stan the Man)

edit: You would think somebody named "thedoc" would know that Babe Ruth and Ted Williams aren't alive.

  14. 1.Hank Aaron

    8. Barroid Bonds

    Hank

    2. Wille Mays

    7.Johnny Bench

    Willie Mays

    3.Alex Rodriguez

    6.Pete Rose

    Pete Rose

    4.Stan Musial

    5.Ken Griffey Jr.

    Griffey Jr.

  15. 8. (Bonds) prior to steroids, since he was all around player & mvp

    Willie Mays--greatest all around player

    Alex Rodriquez

    Griffey Jr

  16. 1. Hank Aaron

    2. Willie Mays

    6. Pete Rose

    4. Stan Musial

  17. Arron, Mays, A-Rod, Musial

  18. Hank Aaron

    Willie Mays

    Pete Rose

    Stan Musial

  19. 1 hank aaron because he did everything when he was hated for being black n he did it the right way he is barry without the drugs  some ppl believe he did steroids others dont i believe it because their was a time when he looked like a pole then  he gets older n when ur boddy is supose to decline he gets better

willie but bench is the greatest catcher ever 2 me atleast cuz he won tiles and he played a defensive position and put up good number but then idk cuz willie was quickkk had power GREAT FIELDER  so idk i would go with willie but that one is hard

pete rose cause he hustled 10 runs up or down greatest contact hitter ever n god forbid wat is a-rod gets injured im a yankee fan die hard but it will be a-rod when his career is done but its not so pete rose wins BTW PETE made a mistake induct him to the HOF every1 makes mistakes

stan musial cuz he could do everything as a young griffey but stan hit for average or power pretty good fielder one of the greatest ever so if i had a team i would pick stan cuz griffey would probally be the best ever without all of em injuries n a few titles but all he does is get injured but great fielder when he was young

  20. 1. Hank Aaron vs. Barry Bonds. winner Aaron: Did it all without the aid of performance enhancers!

    2. Willie Mays vs. Johnny Bench. winner Mays: Better pure all around talent.

    3. Alex Rodriguez vs. Pete Rose. winner Rose: Baseballs all time hits leader, and a gritty player. Do this in 10 more years, and A-Rod may win this match up!

    4. Stan Musial vs. Ken Griffey Jr.  winner. Musial: The most intriguing of all the brackets, but the edge has to go to the guy with one of the sweetest swings in baseball, plus he won 3 World Series rings!

  21. 1. Hank Aaron

    2. Willie Mays

    6. Pete Rose

    4. Stan Musial

  22. 8. Barry Bonds - It still takes lot of skill to hit the ball consistently even with or without those things.

    2. Willie Mays - The best all the way

    3. Alex Rodriguez - More power

    4. Stan Musial - Better avg

    8. Bench(best catcher probably ever- I Rod is close)

    7. Pete Rose(Charlie Hustle says it all!)

    6. Stan the Man Musial(best hitter behind Williams in his generation)

    5. Ken Griffey Jr(could have been one of the best ever but injuries have taken a huge toll on his career)

    4. Barry Bonds(even without steroids, he was the best player in the NL for years)

    3. Alex Rodriguez(will end up breaking Bonds career HR record and put up unbelievable career numbers across the board before he retires)

    2. Hank Aaron(Hammering Hank was Mr Consistent and an Allstar literally his whole career)

    1. Willie Mays(most experts agree that Mays was the best player in the modern era including Mantle and Ted Williams.  When you look up 5 tool player in the dictionary..there should be a picture of Willie Mays).
