  1. Harry Potter.

Yes, I know it's a series. So what? They're all tied for greatest novel of all time.

  2. Totally a personal choice based on your life experience - hard to be objective. Also depends on when in your life you read said novel.

Having said all of that, for me personally it would be between Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger and Dead Souls - Nikolai Gogol.

  3. 1984 by George Orwell, the ideas are clear, the writing is simple but effective

  4. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

  5. Fyodor Dostoyevsky changed the course of modern literature with his novel, Crime and Punishment.  I have read many of the books mentioned and enjoyed them but they do not qualify as great literature.  This one does. It has stood the test of time.

  6. gone with the wind :)

  7. I agree......Twilight Saga is the best book series i have ever read!  Before I read Twilight about a year ago, i hadn't read a good book in like three years....sad i know, but Twilight brought me back into the world of books......and i love Twilight so much!

  8. lone eagle by danielle steel

  9. Twilight. The entire series are the best books I've ever read.

  10. Holes. Even though it's a kid's book, it was the most enthralling book I've ever read. I remember jumping around yelling out plot twists to my mom, who had no idea what the h**l I was talking about.

  11. I have to say so far the best novel of all time that I've read is Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo.

  12. *Slaps palm to forehead* I can't believe someone just said Twilight is the greatest novel of all time. Kill me now.

The greatest novel of all time... hmmm. That's hard. It's a tie between Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne for me.

  13. Crime and Punishment

  14. harry potter novels

  15. Mine! It's called: All About Me!

But it wouldn't win the popularity vote, so the second best is probably:

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain.

  16. Gone With The Wind.

  17. Shogun, by James Clavell - it was incredibly long, but I still didn't want it to end.

  18. THIS IS SUCH AN EASY QUESTION!

    harry potter :)

if that doesn't count cause its a series, then,

I have so many I can't decide. The worst was the Tiger Rising. Don't read it if you haven't already. HORRIBLE. I really liked Kira Kira though..
