Grecian Rocket hot favourite for Suffolk 375
Grecian Rocket is expected to dominate proceedings in the Suffolk 375 at Mildenhall in England on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will get a cash prize of £150 in the end.
The 375 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 20:30 GMT and six competitive hounds will be battling out for glory. However, only one of them will manage to win the race and the momentum appears to be with Grecian Rocket right now. He has got impressive speed and it will be difficult to challenge him at the front today. The bookies also expect him to prevail, thus the punters will be eager to place bets on him.
The young hound has only participated in one Grade OR event, which will put some question mark on his abilities to do well in this class. However, he seems to have the skills to shine at Mildenhall today.
The G. Page’s trainee debuted in February last year and his performances at the start were pretty much impressive. He represented his owner in three back to back Grade GR events and finished runner up in all of them.
However, the black dog had to wait until June 2011 for his first victory, which he brought up in a Grade A2 race. He entered that event with a starting price of 5 to 1 back then and took everyone by surprise in the end, upsetting the favourite hound by one and a half length.
Since his first victory, Grecian Rocket grew in confidence and delivered some very impressive performances at different levels. His form in the 2012 season was not good though, as he struggled at the start of the year.
Although the Hades Rocket’s son started the ongoing season on a high with a Grade A2 victory, yet he struggled to continue the same level of form. His trainer worked hard with him though and he finally started delivering some decent results again.
Looking at his impressive showings, Grecian Rocket was promoted to a Grade OR event and he dominated the proceedings right from the start until the end. He is expected to deliver a similar run once again at Mildenhall.
