Is it better to book the honeymoon myself, by booking flight and hotel? Or are the all-inclusive honeymoon packages worth the extra money? I mean all it includes is really just champagne and roses when you arrive. WHat was your experience like booking your honeymoon? Did you use a travel agent, did you book it yourself, honeymoon package? When did you book the honeymoon? Thanks Everyone!

** also if you have another suggestion, that would be like Santorini in Greece, please leave your suggestions!! THanks!

  1. As far as when to book it...do it as soon as you possibly can! Prices, especially on flights, are only going to get higher, so the sooner you can lock yourself into flights and hotels, the better deal you'll get.

All-inclusive deals might include a little bit more than just champagne and roses; if you're booking through an agent or company, you'll have a contact there that you can go to with questions or concerns. You won't necessarily have this if you book things separately on your own.

Also, Mykonos is beauuuutiful, so if you want to hit more places than just Santorini, I'd suggest that.

  2. I would book an all-inclusive if possible, and go through a travel agency as they can help you work out the kinks .My son did this and it was wonderful for them.Go see Mama Mia it will give you some good veiws.

  3. I went to Greece for my honeymoon in May/June this year, and I absolutely loved it!  I booked everything myself, and it was actually not too difficult.  We stayed in Santorini the first six nights, split between two hotels, then stayed in Athens for two nights.  I booked all the flights, and all three hotels myself.  I recommend Dreams Traditional Luxury Apartments in Imerovigli Greece, and do one of the honeymoon packages.  We also stayed in Oia Castle in Oia Santorini, the best sunset view on the island.  Stay in the honeymoon suite if available.  In Athens we stayed at the King George Palace with a great view of the Acropolis.  You absolutely need to book as soon as possible!  Rooms fill up quick in Santorini.  Book your tickets through Orbitz to Athens then through Aegean Air to Santorini, and book your hotels directly through their websites.  Also if you go to Santorini, you absolutely must have dinner at the Ambrosia Restaurant, very romantic candlelit dinner.  You can get the best seat if you reserve earlier in the day.

Sorry, a lot of info, hope I helped.  Congrats on the wedding!

  4. We're doing a Mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon.  We're starting in Venice and then hitting Athens, Corfu, Mykanos, Santorini, Katakalon and then Dubrovnik, Croatia. The price includes the flight and the cruise. I booked it four months in advance, but the sooner you can do it the better!

www.unforgettablehoneymoons.com is the website I used to book it through.  They have been amazing!

  5. Sorry, I don't have any advice on when to book.  But I will say this -- Santorini is pretty.  Ios is a rocking party island, if that floats your boat.  And Corfu is gorgeous -- loved it there.

  6. you can book yourself and try travelbargainbin.com to see if you can find a good deal.

    Congrats!
