AC Milan seem interested in signing the Schalke central defender to replace their former Brazilian captain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903.
Kyriakos Papadopoulos has been heavily speculated to join the Italian giants, AC Milan all summer long. The certainty of this transfer has increased even more after the star defender of the Rossoneri left the club to join Paris
Saint-Germain recently.
Although, the Greek defenders’ agent has labelled the transfer as highly unlikely amid the rumours of the player signing for Diavolo outfit. The Milan club lost an important and integral centre-back in Silva, who was also very
influential in their team. To replace such an inspiring player has been a top priority for the Casciavit.
Milan were forced to sell their world class player due to the credit crunch in Italy affecting the financial position of the club. Papadopoulos is the ideal substitute to replace the now PSG player.
The San Siro club is having a defence crisis as their legendary defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Montreal-Impact-c39946 in Major League Soccer. The representative of the Schalke player refuted the news that
the Rossoneri wanted the signature of his client.
“AC Milan  interested in my client? There is much speculation about the guy these days," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
He further stated that the Greek man still has a legal contract of three more years with the Gelsenkirchen based team. The agent also reiterated that his employer is well settled and playing top notch football in Die Knappen.
Taking all these things into account, a move to Serie A looks unlikely to follow through. Furthermore, if any club wants Papadopoulos’ signature they will need to contact FC Schalke and need their approval to talk to the player
or his agent about a prospective transfer.
"Papadopoulos has another three years on his contract with Schalke, a club where he is very good, so a transfer to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 would be very difficult. Whoever wants him would first have to speak with Schalke," the player’s agent stated.
The centre-back is the youngest player ever to play in the Greek League at 15 years and 283 days. He has won the Greek Super League and Greek Cup in 2008 with Olympiakos  and has also lifted the DFB-Pokal trophy in 2010-11 with
Schalke 04.
