Greek Travel Itinerary?

Hello!

me and my sister are planning a trip to greece from august 1st to the 16th. we are having trouble planning an itinerary and picking islands to visit. We knoe we want to go to Kephalonia and Mykonos, but are not sure exactly how long we should stay in each place. we want to cover as much ground as possible, but still want a relaxing vacation.

we know those places are on opposite sides but we have figured how to travel between both sides with one night in athens.

we would like to split our time between relaxing and scenery and fun islands with a lot of nightlife. we also want to stay away from anything to 'touristy' or overdone. have been to ibiza and it was not for us. also not VERY interested in corfu, crete, santorini or ios. although maybe one of those places is ok.

very picky i know, but thats why we need help!

thanks!

  1. Kefalonia and Myconos are far from each other http://www.greektravel.com/maps/greece.h... don't want to waist your time on boats and busses...You better choose one of the islands and then travel to the islands close to it. For ex. if you pick Kefalonia you can visit Corfu , Ithaca (the island of Oddyseas), Lefkada, Zante , Scorpios...These islands are in the Ionian sea.http://www.ionian-islands.com/

If you choose Myconos you can visit Syros , Paros, Naxos and many more http://www.greeka.com/cyclades/index.htm

  2. you could spend some times in each island like 6 days each, shopping going to the beach, hanging out, then packing, then going to the next island for 6 days and unpacking and hanging out and to the beach and doing history and shopping and packing and travelling

hope this helps and hope ur planning works out

    u will enjoy it alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
