  1. Goddesses of the same people. Apollo had one sister, his twin Artemis.

Artemis became identified with Selene the Titaness, the Greek moon goddess, and soon completely assumed her role. Selene promptly dropped out of the scene in Greek mythology.

Artemis is the goddess of the moon, the hunt, virginity/fertility, hills, and the forest.

    I hope this helps you.

  2. Artemis is technically goddess of the hunt, virgins and child birth. Selene is the true moon goddess and her brother was helios. Apollo was bringer of the sun and Helios IS the sun. Selene is also Rhiannon in celtic mythology and is one of the aspects of the tri-goddess of the moon. I believe she represents the mother, artemis the maiden, and hecate was the crone.

  3. Apollo has one sister, Artimis. (unless you count half sisters, then he had alot, cause Zeus has lots of kids, Athena, Persephone...)  Artimis was a goddess of the hunt, outdoors, and such, and her Apollo the god of poetry, prophesy, and such. Selene was a goddess older than them.  Selene has two siblings, Eos, and Helios.  Selene was a goddess of the moon, Helios, the sun, and Eos the dawn. Eventully the greek started to incorperate older gods into the olympians.  So Apollo got the sun and Artimis got the moon.

  4. ARTEMIS was the great Olympian goddess of hunting, wilderness and wild animals. She was also a goddess of childbirth, and the protectress of the girl child up to the age of marriage. Her twin brother Apollon was similarly the protector of the boy child. Together the two gods were also bringers of sudden death and disease--Artemis targetted women and girls, and Apollon men and boys.

In ancient art Artemis was usually depicted as a girl dressed in a short knee-length chiton and equipped with a hunting bow and quiver of arrows.

SELENE was the Titan goddess of the moon. She was depicted as a woman either riding side saddle on a horse or in a chariot drawn by a pair of winged steeds. Her lunar sphere or crescent was represented as either a crown set upon her head or as the fold of a raised, shining cloak. Sometimes she was said to drive a team of oxen and her lunar crescent was likened to the horns of a bull. Selene's great love was the shepherd prince Endymion. The beautiful boy was granted eternal youth and immortality by Zeus and placed in a state of eternal slumber in a cave near the peak of Lydian Mount Latmos. There his heavenly bride descended to consort with him in the night.

A number of other goddesses were also associated with the moon, however, only Selene was represented by the old Greek poets represented as the moon incarnate. Other Greek moon goddesses included Pasiphae, the Leukippides, Eileithyia, Hekate, Artemis, Bendis, and Hera (who sometimes doubled for Selene in the Endymion myth).

  5. Appollo only had one twin sister, Artemis. Selene was a Titaness and goddess of the moon. Artemis was the Hellenic goddess of forests, hills, virginity/fertility, and the hunt and was often depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows. Her later association with the moon is a popular idea which has little foundation.
