Greek background on the word "atrophy"?

What Greek mythology story went along with the word "atrophy." How did the word come to be, etc. Websites or comments would be alright. Thanks guys!!!

"Trophy" comes from "Trephein"  - to nourish. The "a" prefix means that the word is the opposite of its root.  So wasting away is the opposite of flourishing.
