  1. Deucalion- Demi-god. Son of Prometheus, married Pyrrha. Ancestor of whole human race. He was warned by Prometheus when Zeus was about to flood the world and drown all mortals; survived by building a boat; when water subsided, he obeyed the command of Zeus's messenger to throw stones over his shoulder- these became men; Pyrrha threw stones which became women, so human race began again. He was a good man with strong survival instinct.

    Pyrrha- Mortal. Daughter of Epimetheus; married Deucalion; ancestor of all mortal women.

    Good book - Greek myths & Legends by Usborne, its a kiddie book but still pretty cool.
