Greek salads: what are the ingrédients used by greek restaurants?

for the seasonning. You know the classic greek salads. They are the best. What do they use for seasonning?

the classic Greek salad  is a salad made with seasonal Summer fruit and vegetables, it has semi ripe tomatoes, cucumbers that don't have heaps of seeds on them, onion , Greek feta cheese cubed or squashed, extra virgin olive oil salt and black pepper , Greek oregano, it has to be Greek!! it has more punch to it,kalamata black olives, and for acidity some Greeks use red wine vinegar, and some use lemon juice, and you toss everything together to coat and mix all the flavours ,  there is NO!lettuce,capsicums,peppers, or anything else that you have seen them use , that is the true  Greek salad,

A good tasting olive oil, red wine vinegar--or balsamic if you prefer a little sweetness--freshly ground pepper, and dried oregano and basil.  I personally don't add salt, but it depends on the saltiness of your other salad ingredients (olives and feta cheese can vary widely in their saltiness).  Mmmmm.....I'm hungry just thinking about it!

THE DRESSING

olive oil,black pepper,garlic,oregano,little salt

lettuce,red cabbage,white onion,olives,and tomatoes thats it nothing else hahahahaha   noooooooooooo do not forget the feta cheese is the most important ingredient to make it  greek salad

It varies, but it's usually some combination of olive oil, honey, basil, oregano, and lemon juice. Obviously it's going to be a little different depending on the chef, but if you just experiment a little with a few different ingredients, you'll find a combo that you like!
