Greek tortoise with shell rot?

I think that my greek tortoise may have the beginnings of shell rot?! If it is shell rot how can i stop it!

  1. it does look like it is the start of something and possibly it could be shell rot, you need to get your tortoise to a reptile vet for treatment and your tortoise should be ok, it is at a place in the shell that if it rots through could cause problems so you need to get it sorted quickly, best of luck hope your tortoise gets well soon


  2. It doesn't look like it. I would be careful though, give it baths and if it doesn't get any better in a few weeks, consult a professional. Look up on care sheets on the web, they generally have a section on illnesses.

  4. oh thats probably nothing but take the turtle to the vet because you cant stop it by yourself. you need an experts oppinion just to keep your turtle safe and healthy. =)
