Greeks, how do you pronounce this?

Greek nationals, can you help? Just been to Greece (fabulous). Stupid question but all loos have WC on the door. How do Greeks pronounce this, as these letters do not exist in Greek alphabet?

Greeks pronounce "WC" as ve-se

(both e-s as in 'pet' -- the pronunciation is based on french).

They can also say "τουαλέτ(τ)α" / "τουαλέτ(τ)ες"

(too-a-LE-ta / too-a-LE-tes, e-s as in 'pet', a-s as in 'father'

-- the words are singular / plural for the "hellenized" french "toilette").

WC stands for water closet and is used throughout europe. Greeks just use the Greek word for bathroom rather than pronouncing "W C"
