I have a green anole in a 10 gallon tank with organic potting soil as a substrate. It has a long piece of reptile wood, and live plants. It has a uvb light. I mist the terrarium it once a day, and I feed it gutloaded and dusted crickets, mini mealworms and as a treat some peach baby food. It always turns brown or yellow, is that good? When I grab it, it jumps out of my hand and runs, why doesnt it like to be handled?

  1. Anoles are not terrestrial lizards and will need a lot of things to climb on. Seems like you're doing everything you should be. About the handling thing... these are not lizards that are tamable. I have 2 Anoles myself, almost for 2 years now and still are frightened by me. Just get used to it. (hope they never get out, that'll be fun lol) My anoles are always changing from bright green to blue to greenish brown to dark brown and whatever comes in between. It's normal. Sounds like you have a healthy boy/girl. Good job.

  2. What!? I don't know what that even means!
