Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers enjoying off-season - NFL News
What does a National Football League (NFL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) do during the offseason?
Well if it is current MVP and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers he goes over to the Milwaukee Brewers practice field to shoot promotional advertisements for the team while also hanging out with his good friend Ryan Braun.
Rodgers took to the mound to pitch for the advertisement in uniform and later spent his time watching batting practice.
The 28-year-old quarterback wore his signature number 12 for the shoot.
He also chatted around with Braun and looked like he was having some good fun.
The quarterback also displayed his catching skills on the field making a single catch and afterwards looked highly pleased with the effort.
"One for one," Rodgers said. "Real comfortable out there. I had a lot of fun,"
Rodgers and the Packers were favourites to lift the Lombardi Trophy once again as they remained unbeaten for most of the regular season.
The Packers looked unstoppable. The Rodgers led Packers offence was the most feared offensive unit in the league averaging 34 points per game throughout the season.
Green Bay remained undefeated till week 15 after Rodgers was harassed out of the game by the Kansas City Chiefs who won 19-14.
That turned out to be the Packers only defeat of the season as they ended the season 15-1 and captured the National Football Conference (NFC) North division title plus a first seed for the playoffs.
They were heavy favourites to win over their division round opponents New York Giants but of all games Rodgers failed to perform at his normal level and the Giants won 37-20 to shock the Packers.
The season ended with disappointment for Rodgers and the Packers but the quarterback individual efforts were incomparable as he won the MVP title.
Rodgers passed for a total of 4,643 yards and passed for 45 touchdowns. The quarterback also built up a pass completion rate of 68.3%.
Rodgers achievements made his the highest rated quarterback in the league this season with 122.5.
The 28-year-old will now look to return the Packers once more to the playoffs but this time take them all the way to the Super Bowl.
