Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he supports Ryan Braun fully – MLB News
A week into the Milwaukee Brewers’ left fielder Ryan Braun’s failed test report and on Thursday, came a supporting voice from Aaron Rodgers, the Packers’ quarterback. In an interview, Rodgers stated he has 100 percent support for Braun, no matter what.
Considered to be one of the most dependable and versatile leftfielders the Brewers have ever produced, Braun has recently been mired by this controversy which will have enormous bearing on his career.
Facing 50-game suspension if he fails to convince the three-person panel in January on his innocence, Braun’s absence from the regular season will potentially affect the team as well.
Nonetheless, he has recently got favourable voices as he considered a player with understanding and adherence to, ethics. Rodgers’ referred to the same fact when asked about the case.
He said he was initially very surprised when he came to know about it. While he avoided making any other comments, he did however, say he had 100 percent support for the player.
"I was very surprised the news came out the way it did," Rodgers said. "You would think that there would be some sort of confidentiality surrounding the situation, because he is appealing it. Other than that, I don't really want to comment a whole lot on
the allegations or what not.”
The two are considered friends as well. But the American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League, Rodgers has lent support at a time when Braun might need it more as it would be considered a moral support.
“I would say I 100 percent support Ryan and believe in him, and it's not going to affect our friendship in the least. I'm 100 percent supporting him and behind him and believe in everything that he says."
It is important to recall that Ryan Braun himself has dismissed it, saying he had never used any such performance-enhancing drug. Others seem convinced as well. But what is unclear and that will have a final say on all the matter, is the appeal that will
be heard next month in front of a three-person jury.
