Green Bay Packers steer much of the attention from Milwaukee Brewers
Much of the attention is being steered away from Milwaukee Brewers at the moment and it is quite understandable. The Green Bay Packers from the National Football League are entering the Super Bowl this year and the residents of
the city are more than excited about the prospect of seeing their team beat the opponents to avail the ultimate trophy. The baseball club was present at the Frontier Airlines Centre to meet up with fans and the media.
There has been so much hype lately that the Brewers would not feel left out of the attention zone, given the potential glory that could head in Milwaukee’s way. The Brewers Hall of Fame representative, Robin Yount was also at the
event to promote the ball club. Even he focused on the Packers, as the veteran talked of the excitement building up in the city.
"We're thinking Brewers again, even with the Pack going to the Super Bowl look at all the people showing up the Brewers. It's great...Here we are in the middle of winter, a week away from the Packers going to the Super Bowl and
we still have this great turnout for the Brewers on Deck. It's what I love about Wisconsin."
The fans had all gathered at the event to meet the ball players and this represented the kind of following that the Brewers had, as a large number of supporters turned up to meet their top players. The team had the chance to put
the excitement to the test and in their favour, as Shaun Marcum demonstrated by talking about the Packers and relating to them.
"Hopefully we can do similar to what the Packers have done, and get to the championship."
The Milwaukee Brewers are looking at a tough contest in the National League in the coming season, as the club will face four of the best clubs in Major League Baseball. The Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and
the Cincinnati Reds are all participating in the division. The Brewers, however, have gone to the limit to avail much of the talent in the market in an effort to reach the play-offs in this season.
With the introduction of Zack Greinke and Shaun Marcum in the rotation, Brewers look like a great outfit on the forefront. Moreover, they have the batting presence led by Prince Fielder to hold a good position on the plate against
opponents.
