Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings in for Week 13 game – NFL News
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is in for Week 13 game against Minnesota Vikings.
He participated in practice session on Wednesday, after recovering from groin injury. He is excited about playing again, after missing last seven games this season.
He got an injury on his abdominal muscles during Week 4 game against New Orleans Saints. Later, he went through a surgery.
He said:
"So I'm good as far as physically and my wind. It's just a matter of getting out there on Sunday."
Groin injury is severe and takes a lot of time to recover, but he did not seem losing hope at any moment.
He returned last week but the coaches wanted him to be completely fit because they did not want to risk his life and face any setback.
Talking about the practice session, he added:
"I feel great. Been running pretty much all the scout team reps, feel really good as far as rapid-fire routes, even did some special teams running down the field on kickoff coverage and some punt return and different things.”
He has 12 catches for 78 yards and scored one touchdown in the three games he played in the beginning of this season.
Jennings is a top receiver in the National Football League (NFL), and his presence can help strengthen Packers’ offence.
Packers wide receivers Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb were playing in his absence. Cobb’s performance is impressive; he has received 58 for 613 yards and scored seven touchdowns.
Jones and Nelson have received 42 and 45 passes respectively. Having four good receivers on the roster, it would be difficult for Packers head coach Mike McCarthy to decide how to use them in a game.
When Jennings was asked about that, he said:
"I don't know. We'll see. Obviously they're probably going to err on the side of gradually implementing me in there. If I had a say, I would just say just let me go. I'm good. There's no need for that.”
At 7-4, Packers are ranked 2nd in National Football Conference (NFC) North.
