Green Chorus to succeed in the August Festival 16th-19th Handicap at Tramore
Green Chorus might notch the victory in the August Festival 16th-19th Handicap at Tramore on 2nd June, 2012, where she will compete against 13 runners over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs, where her stamina will be tested.
The daughter of Oratorio, out of mare Green Castle, has competed in four starts since her career began on 18th September, 2011. She finished twelfth in her first two starts, once at Fairyhouse and once at Dundalk.
Trained by Mrs. John Harrington, the bay filly showed rapid progress this season, as she finished eighth in the Fund Raising Made Easy At Dundalk 3yo Maiden - which was hosted at Dundalk on 4th April, 2012, coupled with jockey,
F.M. Berry.
The three-year-old delivered her best performance in the Black Point Handicap at Wexford on 19th May, 2012, where she was paired with talented jockey, C.D.Hayes.
Despite having high odds of 28-1, Green Chorus brought her best to the track and finished after the evening’s favourite and winner, Time Of My Life.
Even though she finished fifteen lengths behind, the victory was immensely encouraging for the young runner.
Patrick Sinnott’s charge, Benefit Of Porter might give her a serious competition since she brings more experience to the track.
The J.V Redmond owned bay mare recently finished as a runner-up in the Elvis Tribute Show Mares Hurdle at Downpatrick on 11th May, 2012, where she finished 2 ¼ lengths after winner, Nodelay.
Over the course of this season, the eight-year-old has claimed three placed positions among five starts, and she continues to show remarkable improvement with every race.
On 20th May, 2012, she entered the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Chase with a 5-1 chance. Her performance was commendable as she finished third at Limerick.
It will be an exciting race, and it cannot be yet determined that who will win, but Green Chorus seems like the one who has all the winning elements.
Green Chorus has the speed, the strength and age as an added benefit which will help her landing the victory.
