Question:

Green Hospital Wait Times?

I was recently at an emergency hospital with my dad for more than 7 hours before seeing the doctor. As I sat there, I sort of came up with an idea to turn ridiculous wait times (with nothing to do) into something good for the environment. I thought about creating a club/organization that would promote environmental awareness etc during the long wait times. For example: having interactive youth speakers talk about the environment, present each patient with a plant they could take home..etc. Instead of wasting time, it could be turned into something good. What do you think? Suggestions? Comments?

  1. I like your idea about promoting a green agenda.  However, I don't believe that an ER environment is a good place to implement that plan.

People who are visiting an ER tend to be focused almost completely on the health issues of the person who is ill.

To me, they would not be receptive to environmental issues at that time of trauma.

You need to catch them when they would tend to be in a more receptive state.
