  1. yes you can. You need to dry them then start them around February and you Will have very nice plants next year. I have done this with bell (green, red, orange, and yellow)and hot peppers (jalapeno, tepin) and even some sweet peppers (banana)

  2. Not really.  A green pepper is not ripe.  Bell peppers will turn red when they are ripe.  It is at this time that the seeds are viable and able to germinate.

If you are just looking to grow some peppers, you'd be better off just buying a pack of seeds.  This time of year you can usually find seed packets for only about a quarter or so.

  3. Lavender you could save your bell pepper seed, but they will not produce as this is a hybrid pepper.  Just buy your plant seed,  and plant in pot about six weeks before your last last frost,  Introduce new plants to direct sun for about 30 minutes each day the first two and work up from there.  Enjoy your pepper.

    Good Luck

  4. You could but you won't grow anything.  Pepper seeds need to be dry to germinate.  If you keep the seed in the vegetable the seeds most likely will mold
