  1. Here is a site with a lot of things but a few comments.

CFL's, only use these in locations where your light is on for 10 minutes or more, putting a CFL into a closet or something is wasteful as it actually lowers the lifespan.  When and if you do replace the your incandescents with CFL's or leds (which are better but more expensive), you can always give the old still working bulbs to friends which don't want to use more energy efficient bulbs or save them for when that closet bulb or .5 bath bulb burns out.

If you want a product which will help the environment other than local foods or light bulbs consider buying a reusable bag for groceries.  Instead of using the plastic bags probably 90% of stores decide to give you even when you buy one item.

  2. Depends where you live. There is a variety of different supermarkets to go to like Whole foods, real foods, Rainbow foods, and farmers market. (Also, buying local and local products is a good way to reduce your carbon footprint)

-Buying used things its also a good inexpensive way to shop and save the environment. A lot of cities have places to go that you can drop of free stuff, and also get free stuff, like electronics, and countless other things.

  3. Whole foods and local foods.

(Whole foods means food that is in its original state and has not been processed, IE a potato as opposed to a pringle)

Clothes and goods from thrift stores.

    A bicycle (vintage)

    Seeds for a home garden
