Green Tea Question!!!?

All the green tea I have ever drank has been a yellowish color...I just bought some of those small packets to put in bottled water and the green tea is actually green!! I am afraid to drink it...do you think the manufacturers have never had green tea so they actually thought it was supposed to be green?!?!

Thats normal. they can be different colours.

Green tea comes in any shade from clear to dark green.  It depends on what type of green tea you are using, how long you steep it, and the temperaure you steep it at.  It's safe to drink.  They might have added some food coloring just for fun.  I have a feeling they've had real green tea.

if you bought authentic green tea bags, it should be a green color.  the tasty one is a japanese tea called "sencha".
