Even vinho verde isn't really green. I haven't seen the movie, but perhaps it was chartreuse? It wouldn't do to confuse that stuff (@ 110proof!) with wine. What a hangover that would make for!

Certain white wines, can have a greenish hue.

Certain Tokay wines from Hungary for instance, especially when properly aged, and also Romanian Cotnari wine, turns golden-green when properly aged. Looks somewhat like quality olive oil, but with an incredible flavor and strength.
