Green and purple vertical stripes on our TV screen

Question

Our TV was working perfectly for 3 years, but now when we switch it on, the picture comes on for about a minute, and then the screen becomes mostly green and purple and covered in vertical lines. Sound still works fine.Very grateful for any ideas of what might cause this! Model is a Toshiba 32ZP38B
