We planted green and red peppers , but before they are ready to pick they are rotting on the vine. I picked one today and cut it open and there is this brown mold inside? Any ideas on why? We haven't had one good pepper yet.

  1. Depending on where you are, this has been a bad year for blight. There has been lots of rain, and many plants, especially the nightshades have been hard hit. These include tomatoes, eggplant, peppers and others.

  2. Could be watering them too much.

  3. Sounds like blight. Are there whiteish areas on the outside?  We are having huge tomato blight problems this year.  Go to your nearest garden store and get a fungicide to take care of it.
