Green card petition approved but lawyer is backing off now !?

hi everyone

i really need advices on this , pls help me out

i have filed for a green card petition through a lawyer in usa

on every step of paperwork he went on asking fees

and now his fees are fully paid ! even before i ge my green card !

problem is

he filed for green card and he showed a employer who is hiring me while filing petition!

now he is saying that employer no more have that business (lawyer said he sold it to someone else) and he cant do anything further in this case !

i have logged in CIS site and to my surprise i have got i-40 approved from INS !!

but now lawyer is not takin any interest nor he is replying !

can anyone tell me how can i get my green card and how can i sue that lawyer who cheated me !

also i wanna know if any other employer can use the same info of my case , i mean can any other employer work on my half done case ?

can he use same labor certification anad my approved i-40 ?

also if i go against that lawyer in any way , like suing him for chaeting , will that put me or my case in trouble ! will i have problems getting any visa or green card in future ?

  1. There is no I-40 form.  Do you mean I-140, the immigrant petition for a worker?

    If the employer has gone out of business, your labor certification is no longer valid.  Even with the I-140 approved, the immigrant visa cannot be issued.
