What is "green power"?

Do you believe that we need to find alternate, environmentally friendly energy sources?

How many possible “green power” options did you find in your research?

What were the options you found?

Are any of these options being used today?

Which, if any, do you feel are viable energy sources for the future? Why?

  1. It's basically things like solar and wind power. I believe Niagara Falls has its own turbines to produce a good chunk of energy for Ontario and the state of New York. Solar and wind power only offers a small percentage of power and isn't enough to substitute coal or nuclear. Now do your own d**n homework assignment.

  2. Connections Academy Environmental Science, eh?

Green power is an alternative to the original more traditional methods of energy. Green power uses natural resources that are renewable in order to creat energry. There are plenty of different types of green power energy such as wind power, solar energy power, wave/tidal power, etc. These methods are a good investment because they're helpful for the environment. And, it is important to keep our environment in top shape since it is the place we live in and if it is destroyed then we as human beings will eventually become destroyed as well.

Plenty of these options are being used today. Farms use wind power and wave/tidal power is frequently used. All of these energy sources will be viable for the future because they're helpful, environmental sources that will never run out.

  3. Without a doubt Nuclear Energy is the best way to go for alternative power.  Nuclear can produce massive amounts of power 24/7/365 without producing any green house gases, and the waste from one nuclear power plant will fit under your desk.

Nuclear batteries is another great power source for electric cars.

We need to use nuclear and move into the 21st century.

  4. If you really want to go Green, you need to start at the source. The manufacturers, they need to be forced to do away with all no return containers. But most people are not willing to pay a dollar more for a gallon of milk in a returnable glass jug. Or an extra 25 cents for a bottle of coke.

they got a nice range of green technology on the market today that is being used .

Generally it is understood to be  energy that does not harm the Environment in any way whilst getting it

Can be certain types of water turbines in water falls for example or tidal dynamos ,wind power ,solar power .bio digester's

I dont know enough about nuclear, but waste springs to mind ,where does that go dumped in the >ocean????
