  1. you COULD put in a water fall , and see how your snake copes with it , if you pick it up often , pick it up after you put the waterfall in , and see if it's temperature has changed , if his temperature as changed significantly , then i suggest taking out the water fall , and yes you could add fake plants and use terrarium moss as substrate , hope this helped = ) ~ carmeliciious ~

  2. Actually this will work great.

Being arboreal - a tall instead of wide enclosure is preferred but a stand 10-20 gallon aquarium / vivarium is fine. When I kept these snakes,I  had no problem from keeping the humidity at 50%-60%  but some suggest higher. The waterfall will provide more than adequate humidity and eliminates the need to mist. Like most snakes you want a hide box ( I used a small old clay plant pot broke in half). Providing lots of cover and climbing area with fake plants is a wonderful addition. You can create live plant vivs for these snakes as they are small bodied. I not not see any issues with using moss, there are a verity of other substrates you can use- alfalfa pellets, coconut fiber/husk, potting soil ( without perlite), aspen and cypress shaving/mulch/bark, repta-bark products, outdoor/reptile carpeting.

    Lastly-lighting and heating

An UVB light source is a MUST with these snakes. A  2.0 or 5.0 fluorescent tube,a full spectrum plant & aquarium fluorescent tube can be used with this to create a better color viewing index. A standard 50-75 watt bulb should  provide adequate heat as well as the basking spot. Heat pads can of course be used alone or with a light. Be sure that the snake can not come in contact with any hot surfaces and to use a thermoregulator to control tempatures.

  3. No reptile can be held in a ten gallon because of one major problem, bad air flow and the heat needs to be cooler at one end hotter at the other. just get your self a 20 long at min. they are pretty cheap. do not keep in ten gallon or you will have a depressed un healthy pet. ten gallons are good for breeding food items or fish  , or and humdity differs for each snake, some dont need it. just email me for details you will be happy
