Greenbrier to refund or issue new tickets to those who could not attend the Greenbrier Classic
Six days ago, the state of West Virginia was hit by intense and destructive storms. These storms brought with them strong winds and heavy rain showers.
The storms managed to do quite a bit of damage in the region as there was flooding and power outages for long hours. The recovery is still going on but the problem of power outages still persists.
As a result of the destructive storm, many people could not attend the ongoing Greenbrier Classic. This was because either they were stuck in fixing things or they were busy in helping other people recover from the storm’s affects.
The organizers of the Greenbrier Classic have decided to either refund the tickets or issue new free tickets for the 2013 event to those who had bought the tickets but could not attend the event. Fears are that more storms might be on their way and still
there is no sign of power resumption in some areas.
Greenbrier is also helping people in the rehabilitation process. Three headquarters have been set up from where people can get bags of ice, water bottles and items for lunch and dinner.
If someone wants a ticket for the next year’s event, they will be given a ticket, instead of a full refund. If for any reason, the ticket has been scanned then the refund will not be granted.
To make a claim for the refund, people should send in their complete details via mail by the 30th of July to the following address:
The Greenbrier, 300 W. Main St., White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. 24986
Helping people in the time of their need is a noble cause and other people should also step in to help the affected people. It will also raise the standards for other organizations like Greenbrier to come out and help people.
Giving a full refund or a new ticket will strengthen the bond which the people of West Virginia have with Greenbrier. Steps like these will ensure that this bond strengthens even more.
Alongside, more people will be encouraged to come and watch the Greenbrier Classic next year.
