  1. When u buy a gift, the shop fellow wraps it up and give you.   You can simply attach a small gift card to it and present it. Finished.

  2. oh, you bet ya' . I like to take a few yards of fabric and wrap my gifts in. i string ribbon and use" nature" s gifts to decorate them with. there was a blue silk blouse that did not fit anymore , so i cut it up and painted on it . wow! i wrapped the gifts and added the ribbon and tied it off with scented pine-cones. It was the biggest hit in all of my Xmas'!

  3. One year I made my own wrapping paper by painting different patterns onto newspaper.

There was a pattern of Christmas trees, a pattern of stars, one of X-mas tree lights etc. When I ran out of paper, I wrapped the presents with the newspaper and painted something on the front, like a snowman or snowflake.

I created my paper w/ acrylic paint and painted it by hand. This can be done more quickly by creating  a potato (Earth friendly) or sponge stamp of different holiday shapes.

Water-soluble, non-toxic children's poster paint will work just fine and is eco-friendly.

  4. The following link has some great suggestions!!! The list is pretty cool and really gets the gears turning for creative wrapping ideas.

  5. I wrap mine in newspaper, buy local frabic bags from a market or wrap them in brown paper and decorate them.

  6. Any newspaper can be stamped over to make fun wrapping paper.  Also, I like to use fabric scraps or dish towels.

  7. Comic pages, foreign language newspapers, slick ad inserts, bandanas from the dollar stores. We haven't used proper wrapping paper for a long time, other than recycled from previous years. Good thinking I give you a green A+

  8. i use gift bags a lot and always reuse the ones i get (boxes too).  you can also get recycled paper.

  9. You could use the comic section from the newspaper.

  10. Take paper grocery bags and stamp them with holiday prints. Then wrap with raffia.

  11. Once, I recieved a gift wrapped in 100 one dollar bills.  It was really cool, and you receive money as well as the gift.

  12. If you are like me and have tons of maps laying around, those look really cool as wrapping paper. Also brown grocery bags tied with kitchen twine is pretty and simple also.

  13. buy recycled wrapping paper then flatten and recycle again

  14. Well, you could reuse any gift bags you have right now.

This website has recycled wrapping paper you can buy and if you don't like these, I'm sure there's more elsewhere online: http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/09/...  You could use newspaper.  It wouldn't look very pretty, but it's easy to recycle.  Also, instead of throwing all of the wrapping paper away, could you recycle it instead?  Hope I helped and you actually helped me, I didn't even think of how much paper is being wasted with wrapping paper, thanks!
