This morning I went downstairs and saw greenish fungus or mold growing on my bed. It's just the bed, nothing else. No walls or any other furniture. I want to get rid of it but I don't know how. Any help? Thanks.

  1. First get rid of the bed. Your basement is too damp you need a dehumidifier. that will take all the moisture out of your basement.

  2. to clean up Mold and fungus use Hospital strength bleach and a face mask the growth is caused by dampness and dead skin airing of rooms Vacuuming regularly and using anti bacterial cleaning produce I use a spray disinfectant every week usually Saturday Morning and go out for the Day

If you are allergic to bleach Use sugar soap the stuff you use to clean walls before painting

  3. Stop sleeping on it!!!!!!!!!! No seriously wrap it in plastic and dump it DO NOT BREATHE IN THE MOULD UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES THIS CAN PROVE TO BE FATAL AND THAT IS A FACT. ........

  4. Hopefully this mold is on the frame of the bed and not the actual mattress.  If on frame, wipe down with bleach.  I would also wrap the mattresses in plastic covers that are also used with little children and accidents.  You truely need some air movement and probably a dehumidifier as well.   good luck.
