Greenisle Giant enjoying good draw in Ted Hegarty Open Marathon - 1st Rnd - Heat 1 at Harold’s Cross
A favourable draw is likely to help Greenisle Giant crush the opposition in Ted Hegarty Open Marathon - 1st Rnd - Heat 1, to be hosted by Harold’s Cross on Friday, December 07, 2012.
The white and black dog won an open race here on October 22nd. It was a marvellous act. After leaving the fifth box, he ran very well, staying ahead right through the contest.
With the help of a splendid effort, S. Graham’s charge seized the top rank comfortably by four lengths. He perpetuated his fantastic work, and secured the runner-up place in another 750 yards contest here in October.
After doing plenty of good stuff here, the dashing hound went to Shelbourne Park, where he unfortunately failed to maintain the standards. In a 750 metres clash, the son of Corporate Attack, out of Corporate Clasic, baulked at the first bend, and could not increase his speed afterwards. As a result, he finished at bottom of the table.
No one should judge him on the recent loss. The December-10 is coming back to this favourite venue, and should display an excellent show. Among his opponents are: Leap Of Faith, Lord Miley, Barley Bussell, Ballycaum Lass, and Salacres Polizzi. The 1010 yards race is due to begin at 19:55 GMT.
Salacres Polizzi is short of confidence after facing a few awful defeats lately. The brindle b***h was fifth on her previous outing at Nottingham just a few days ago. Leap Of Faith has won open races here before. So, it is hard to overlook his chances in today’s contest. Barley Bussell ran well in the fresh solo outing here. Yet, the black b***h needs to run like a demon to dominate the proceedings.
Lord Miley was runner-up here last time. After doing nothing special at Shelbourne Park, the black dog came here on a high. However, it is unsure whether he will be able to continue doing well. Ballycaum Lass is making a huge step up in class, and will be under tremendous pressure. The blue b***h seems to have no chance whatsoever.
